About
the cover...
The award winning paintings of Robin Naomi Rogers present her subjects and their habitats in extraordinary detail with a unique, illustrious style that visually records her field study adventures through the beaches and wetlands of the mid-Atlantic region.
Originally from Norfolk, Virginia, Robin has painted most of her life, being taught at an early age by her grandmother who painted professionally. Robin earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Virginia Wesleyan College. In 1997, Robin was one of only five American artists chosen to exhibit in the Art of the Living World Exposition in Singapore. She has garnered many awards through out the U.S.
Currently, Robin resides in North CarolinaÕs Outer Banks. Her original paintings and limited editions are displayed in many corporate and private collections and are available in a number of galleries throughout the country. A portion of her proceeds at many of the wildlife shows has benefited efforts in habitat preservation and helped to promote public awareness and appreciation of wildlife. Robin adds, "I cannot imagine anything more fulfilling than painting what I love, and by doing so helping to ensure its survival."
Also throughout the book are reproductions of student art created by middle and high school art students of Dare County.
